Resembling a puddle surface during light rain, this figure is a dense pattern of small rings enveloping one another. Found in extremely large trees like Mahagony / Sapeli, Bubinga, Moabi and Macore. The quilted effect somewhat like the larger and exaggerated version of a pomello is also found in some species like Birch, Maple and is three dimensional in appearance.
