Chitlangia Group launch Madhya Bharat Papers Limited in 1980, or MBPL, a public limited listed company to cater to the rapidly growing Indian paper industry.
Commissioned in 1984, MBPL produces Creamwove, Ledger and Duplicating paper under the brand name of 'Mb' that enjoys an ever rising demand in the education and IT industry.
The efforts of MBPL are overseen by an active and dedicated group of technocrats and marketers, production and finance experts with a proven track records. The Movers and Shakers of this tightly knot professional outfit is lead by the likes of - Mr. Jaydeep Chitlangia, Managing Director with over 16 years in the paper industry.
MBPL has made a substantial increase in production and sale in the last five years. Production of paper has increased by 39% from the figure of 1995-96 to 2004-05.
MBPL was specifically launched forecasting this ever growing demand in the paper industry. It presently supplies more than 17,000 tones of Creamwove, Ledger and Duplicating paper, a figure that it hopes to translate into 70,000 tones in the next five years.
With the rapid pace with which the Indian Paper Industry is growing, it is a figure that is not impossible to achieve. To help achieve that aim, MBPL went on for a major expansion of its plant located at Champa, district Janjgir at Chattisgarh at an estimated project cost of Rs.155 crores.
The new plant is based on paddy straw as the primary raw material of which an abundant supply is ensured because of its location in the Straw-Belt itself.
