The strength of DURODOOR-Lites comes from the hexagonal shape of the honeycomb core, one of nature's unique gifts. The honeycomb core is lighter than solid filling materials with the added advantage of high strength - to - weight ratios. DURODOOR-Lites, therefore is more economical in terms of hardware usage and fixing costs.

DURODOOR-Lites is eco- friendly as the honeycomb core is made from polymer impregnated recycled kraft paper. Varied climatic conditions do not affect the performance of DURODOOR-Lites as atmospheric moisture cannot penetrate into the core. The dimension of the door remains stable without any expansion/contraction during weather changes, which is an added attraction for the user.

DURODOOR-Lites has excellent sound absorption qualities. The honeycomb pattern in the core, reduces the direct transmission of sound by absorption, which are expressed as sound transmission class (STC). DURODOOR-Lites has a higher STC than a solid door at the same thickness.

DURODOOR-Lites also has low thermal conductivity, due to the honeycomb pattern in the core and would be an advantage where insulation is required from the elements.
